Mason and I met back in January 2018 actually in a 5 Guys in Winnipeg, Canada. We were serving missions for our church and got to know each other over the next year after that. Crazy enough, when we got home in 2020, we only lived about 20 miles apart and became really good friends. Friends turned to crushes turned to first kisses and I love you's pretty quickly. Only about a month after we started dating is when quarantine and covid came in hard. Because everything was shut down, our dates and hanging out consisted of roadtrips, backpacking, and lots of camping. Our first "date" was a trip to the redwoods in under 24 hours. Spontaneous weekend trips are still one of our favorite things.
